Our belief in the Bible as the infallible word of God and His specific call and purpose for this Covenant Community is the foundation for our mission, which is Exalting Jesus Christ, Equipping the Saints for the work of the Ministry and Winning the Lost to Christ.
Statement of Faith
We believe in the Holy Bible as the infallible word of God containing sixty-six books, fully inspired by God.
The Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. (I Tim. 3: 16)
We believe in one eternal God who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable yet indivisible and of one substance. (Matt. 28: 19)
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, true God and true man united in one person. He suffered and died on the cross for our sins, according to the scriptures, and was buried. He arose bodily from the dead and personally appeared to His disciples. Afterwards, He ascended into heaven, where He is exalted above all else. (Lk. I: 26-35; Jn I: 18; Is. 7: 14; I Cor. I 5: 1-4; Jn. 14: 2-3)
We believe in the second coming of Christ-physical and visible- to judge the living and the dead, receive His church, and to consummate human history in the plan of God. (Thes. 4: 13 – 18; Rev. 22: 12; Eph. 1: 10)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who has come to glorify Christ, to convict people of sin and draw us to the Savior, Jesus. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells God’s children, gives new life, empowers believers for service, imparts spiritual gifts (as recorded in the New Testament and manifested in the early church), enables believers to live a fruitful , holy and spirit-filled life, and guides God’s children into all truth. On. 16: 8, 13, 14; Jn. 3: 6; Acts I: 8; Gal. 5: 22-24; Eph. 5: 18; Jn. 14: 16, 17, 26)
We believe that the salvation of sinful people is wholly dependent upon the work of God’s free grace.. As recorded in Genesis, the test and fall of man leaves us spiritually depraved, separated from God, and unable to attain right standing with God, apart from Jesus Christ. Salvation is manifested through our repentance, plus fa ith in Christ and His finished work on the cross. Through his work, not our own, we obtain the remission of sins and become God’s children; heirs of eternal life. (Eph. 2: 8-9; Rom. 5: I, 9)
We believe in eternal life for all true believers and eternal judgment for the lost, Satan and all fallen angels. On. 3:16, 5: 24; 2 Thes. I: 8-9; Rev. 20: I 0-1 5)
Our Core Values
Core values are simply defined, as deeply held beliefs describing the soul of a person or organization which are consistently acted upon without compromise. These core values can either enable or disable us from getting to the vision that God has for our lives. Here at New Bethel Community Church (NBCC), our core values serve as a catalyst for shaping our culture and purpose as a covenant community. Our core values are as follows:
• We are committed to the personal growth of each member. (Eph. 4: 12- 16; 2 Peter 3: 18)
• We function based on the priority of being committed to the success of others. (Acts 16: 1-3; Rom. 16: 21; I Cor. 4: 17; 2 Tim. 1: 5)
• We covenant not to be offended. (Matt. 26: 31-35; Acts 24: 16) • We recognize the Power of Us. (2 Cor. 6: I; Eph. 3: 20) • We Disciple, Develop and Release into Ministry. (Jn . I 5) • We are committed to the proper stewardship of the ministry. (Matt. 25: 14-30) • We are committed to our God ordained purpose: Exalting • Jesus, Equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry and • Winning the Lost to Christ.
